Enabling every pupil to become happy, secure, enthusiastic life-long learners who can experience personal success.
‘Art, craft and design embody some of the highest forms of human creativity. A high-quality art and design education should engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design.’ — DFES
At Hilltop, Art is taught as a discrete discipline where there is an emphasis on the skills taught. Children across school enjoy using a variety of tools and techniques including ICT. In the early years, children are introduced to a range of art materials and tools, such as a range of paints, dough, chalks, pastels, sponges, rollers and cutting tools.
